A Casual Employee shall be paid a minimum of three hours for each start and the fares applicable in clause 25.1.1 of this Agreement . - where directed to report for work on a Saturday or Sunday and not being required shall be paid for two (2) hours at overtime rates and the fares applicable in clause 25.1.1 of this Agreement.

A Casual Employee other than an irregular Casual Employee, after at least 6 months of being engaged regularly by the Company on a casual basis and if it is likely that the employment relationship will continue, a Casual Employee may elect to have their contract of employment converted to permanent employment. Where this occurs, the employment type may be either Full-Time employment or Part-Time employment, dependent on the requirements of the Company and upon agreement with the Employee.
A Casual Employee is an employee engaged to work either; • for less than an average of fifteen hours per week, or • for less than one month - if employed for fifteen hours or more each week, or • where the employee’s ordinary hours vary from week, to week irrespective of the span of hours or the period of engagement, or • as a replacement employee for a period not exceeding three months.
3.3.3.1 a casual employee must be paid the hourly rate as defined for the work performed plus twenty per centum for ordinary working hours.
3.3.3.2 casual employees are not entitled to Annual Leave, Personal leave or payment for Public Holidays not worked.
3.3.3.3 Subject to the evidentiary and notice requirements in 6.2.6(a) and 6.2.6(b), employees are entitled to not be available to attend work, or to leave work: ▪ if they need to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support, or who require care due to an unexpected emergency, or the birth of a child; or ▪ upon the death in Australia of an immediate family or household member. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period for which the employee will be entitled to not be available to attend work. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to not be available to attend work for up to 48 hours (i.e. two days) per occasion. The casual employee is not entitled to any payment for the period of non-attendance.
A Casual Employee. (i) must be paid an hourly rate of 1/38th of the weekly ordinary time rate of pay for the classification in which they are employed in, plus a casual loading of 25%; and
(ii) must be paid for a minimum of four hours each day they are engaged.

7.2.1 Is an employee who is employed on an hourly basis for less than one calendar month or employed on an hourly basis for a period in excess of one month and the hours of duty are not fixed and constant.
7.2.2 Will be engaged for a minimum of three hours at the rate of pay specified in subclause 7.3.
