Acceptance and Application of Credits. 1. In consultation with CPS faculty, CSM will develop an advising sheet for students enrolled or contemplating enrollment in CSM Associate's degree program homeland security or related fields. This advising sheet will recommend a course of study within the Associate’s degree program, specifying courses that articulate with the CPS program and including the prerequisite course content required for admission to the Homeland Security Program. 2. CSM will permit CPS faculty and staff to meet with and advise CSM students about the Homeland Security Program, including admission requirements. 3. Students completing the AA, AS or AAS at CSM will be considered to have met all lower division education requirements at CPS. These requirements include: a. a minimum GPA of 2.70; b. Written Communication or Composition (6 credits), such as ENG- 1010, ENG-1020, and ENG-2050 c. Mathematics (3 credits) d. Natural or Physical Science with Lab (4 credits) e. Arts or Humanities (3 credits) f. Social or Behavioral Sciences (6 credits) g. Up to 38 credits of elective coursework from a regionally accredited college/university or complete the elective requirements from the GW College of Professional Studies 4. Where course equivalencies exist for required courses and/or prerequisites, these courses will apply to CPS graduation requirements in the student’s stated major field of study. If the courses are taught at the junior or senior leveI at CPS, students will be required to take courses to earn upper division credit. 5. Credits can only be transferred for courses in which grades of C or higher were earned at CSM. CPS shall have sole discretion as to whether credits earned at CSM may be accepted for transfer to CPS. 6. CPS will evaluate courses/credits earned through Advanced Placement (“AP"), College-Level Examination Program (“CLEP"), or other testing programs to determine if such course or credits may be transferred to CPS. CPS also will evaluate courses/credits earned at other regionally accredited institutions for transfer applicability. CPS shall have sole discretion as to the acceptability ofany courses or credits for transfer. 7. CPS will maintain course equivalency information and make this information readily available to CSM. 8. Students transferring to CPS from CSM will be required to complete a minimum of sixty (60) credit hours of CPS coursework to be eligible for earning a Bachelor's degree from CPS. This requirement assumes that CSM students will have at least sixty (60) transferable credit hours, with grades C or higher, upon the completion of their Associate’s degree.

Students under this agreement will develop an advising sheet for be considered on the same basis as native ODU students enrolled or contemplating enrollment in CSM Associate's degree program homeland security or related fields. This advising sheet will recommend a course of study within the Associate’s degree program, specifying courses that articulate with the CPS program and including the prerequisite course content required for admission to the Homeland Security Programcompetitive majors. 2. CSM HRSTA institutions and ODU will permit CPS faculty and staff agree upon specific curricular pathways that include courses that apply fully to meet with and advise CSM students about meeting lower division general education requirements in all ODU baccalaureate programs as well as to any specific ODU baccalaureate degree requirements in the Homeland Security Program, including admission requirementscurricular pathway. 3. Students completing the Graduates of AA, AS or AAS at CSM will be AS, and AA&S programs that have been approved as transferrable by SCHEV are considered to have met all lower ODU lower-division general education requirements at CPSrequirements. These requirements include: a. a minimum GPA Graduates of 2.70; b. CPS also ODU will evaluate courses/credits earned at other regionally accredited institutions for transfer applicabilityinstitutions. 6. CPS shall have sole discretion as No distinction will be made by ODU regarding college courses applicable to the acceptability ofany courses or credits for transfer-oriented associate degrees that are taken through dual enrollment arrangement with high schools. 7. CPS ODU will maintain course equivalency information in its online database. Students will be guaranteed specific transferability of their courses for six years from the date they begin coursework at HRSTA institutions. To be guaranteed equivalent courses and make this information readily available requirements at the time they begin courses at the partner VCCS institution, students should submit the online Letter of Intent to CSMTransfer to ODU to ensure that they are following the correct curricular pathway. 8. Students transferring to CPS from CSM will No fewer than 30 semester hours must be required to complete a minimum of sixty (60) credit hours of CPS coursework earned at ODU to be eligible for earning a Bachelor's degree from CPSgraduation. This requirement assumes that CSM students will have A minimum of 12 credit hours of upper-level courses in the declared major program must be completed at least sixty (60) transferable credit hours, with grades C or higher, upon the completion of their Associate’s degreeODU.
