Access to Network Interface Device (NID. 2.4.3.1 Due to the wide variety of NIDs utilized by BellSouth (based on subscriber size and environmental considerations), <<customer_name>> may access the end user’s wire by any of the following means: BellSouth shall allow <<customer_name>> to connect its loops directly to BellSouth’s multi-line residential NID enclosures that have additional space and are not used by BellSouth or any other telecommunications carriers to provide service to the premise. Such charges will be billed to the requesting Party. 2.4.3.5 In no case shall either Party remove or disconnect the other Party’s loop facilities from either Party’s NIDs, enclosures, or protectors unless the applicable Commission has expressly permitted the same and the disconnecting Party provides prior notice to the other Party. In such cases, it shall be the responsibility of the Party disconnecting loop facilities to leave undisturbed the existing form of electrical protection and to maintain the physical integrity of the NID. It will be the CLEC’s responsibility to ensure there is no safety hazard and will hold BellSouth harmless for any liability associated with the removal of the BellSouth loop from the BellSouth NID.   • Network Interface Device 2.7.1 The NID is defined as any means of interconnection of the customer’s premises wiring to BellSouth’s distribution plant, such as a cross-connect device used for that purpose. The NID is a single line termination device or that portion of a multiple line termination device required to terminate a single line or circuit at the premises. The NID features two (2) independent ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or divisions that separate the service provider’s network from the customer’s premises wiring. Each chamber or division contains the appropriate connection points or posts to which the service provider and the customer each make their connections. The NID provides a protective ground connection and is capable of terminating cables such as twisted pair cable. 2.7.2 BellSouth shall permit NewPhone to connect NewPhone’s Loop facilities to the customer’s premises wiring through the BellSouth NID or at any other technically feasible point.

  • Network Interconnection Architecture Each Party will plan, design, construct and maintain the facilities within their respective systems as are necessary and proper for the provision of traffic covered by this Agreement. These facilities include but are not limited to, a sufficient number of trunks to the point of interconnection with the tandem company, and sufficient interoffice and interexchange facilities and trunks between its own central offices to adequately handle traffic between all central offices within the service areas at a P.01 grade of service or better. The provisioning and engineering of such services and facilities will comply with generally accepted industry methods and practices, and will observe the rules and regulations of the lawfully established tariffs applicable to the services provided.

  • Interoperability To the extent required by applicable law, Cisco shall provide You with the interface information needed to achieve interoperability between the Software and another independently created program. Cisco will provide this interface information at Your written request after you pay Cisco’s licensing fees (if any). You will keep this information in strict confidence and strictly follow any applicable terms and conditions upon which Cisco makes such information available.

  • Network Interconnection Methods 3.1 The Interconnection provided herein may not be used solely for the purpose of originating a Party’s own interexchange traffic.

  • System and Data Access Services a. System.
