Common use of Account and Card Use Clause in Contracts

Account and Card Use. A Card can only be used by the Cardholder in whose name it has been issued. Cardholders can use their Card and/or Card number for any permitted purpose including, but not limited to: ƒ making Purchases, whether they buy in person, over the phone, using the Internet or by mail order; ƒ making cash withdrawals at one of our branches, at another financial institution or at an ATM; ƒ writing cheques using the Credit Card Cheques; and ƒ taking advantage of a balance transfer offer by transferring all or part of a balance they owe elsewhere to the Account, through our online banking service or by calling 1-800 ROYAL® 1-2 (▇-▇▇▇-▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇). A Cardholder must not use their Card for any illegal, improper or unlawful purpose. We may refuse to authorize certain types of transactions as we decide including, but not limited to, Internet gambling.
