Common use of Accumulation of Paid Time Off Clause in Contracts

Accumulation of Paid Time Off. Employees may accumulate PTO up to a -maximum limit of 380 hours. Years of Service Maximum Limit 0 through 6 300 hours 7 through 12 360 hours 13 + years 380 hours Upon reaching the maximum limit, employees must make arrangements to reduce their account of PTO by a minimum of 10% of the hours in the account. Employees may accomplish this reduction by either taking PTO or exercising their "sell-back" option (see paragraph F.). Additional PTO shall not be accumulated in the employee's account until the account has been reduced by the minimum amount specified.
