Act 1980 Sample Clauses

The 'Act 1980' clause refers to the application of the Limitation Act 1980, which sets statutory time limits for bringing legal claims in England and Wales. In practice, this clause clarifies that any claims arising under the contract must be made within the timeframes specified by the Act, such as six years for most contractual disputes. By referencing the Act, the clause ensures both parties are aware of and bound by these legal deadlines, thereby providing certainty and preventing indefinite liability.
