Common use of ACTING INCUMBENCY Clause in Contracts

ACTING INCUMBENCY. 29.01 Where an Employee is designated by the Employer to temporarily perform the majority of the duties of a higher paid classification covered by this Collective Agreement, after three (3) days of continuously performing such duties, the Employee shall be paid the rate of that classification for the total period of acting incumbency. The Employee shall be paid at the higher classification at a step that provides an increase of at least 3.5%. 29.02 When an Employee is required to temporarily perform the duties of a lower paid classification, the Employee will suffer no reduction in the Employee's regular rate of pay.
