Common use of Acting Time Clause in Contracts

Acting Time. Section 48.1 When the Superintendent or his designee determines it is necessary to temporarily assign an employee to perform the duties of a position above that which the employee currently holds for periods of five (5) consecutive work days or more, such employee shall be paid the pay rate of the higher classification. Acting time is only payable when the employee is working in the higher pay classification/pay grade. Training periods at a higher level shall not be computed when determining acting time.
