Common use of Addition to Services Clause in Contracts

Addition to Services. The City may add to the Contractor services or delete therefrom activities based on unit cost as set forth in Exhibit 1 or the bid document(s) associated with this contract, or by written Change Orders that may be agreed to by both the City and Contractor, provided that the total cost of such work will be added to, or deleted from, the total cost as specified in Paragraph 6 hereof. The Contractor shall undertake such changed activities only upon the direction of the City. All such directives and changes shall be in written form and prepared and approved by the Department Head for the City as related to this contract, or his designee, with approval of the City Council if required, and shall be accepted and countersigned by the Contractor.
