Additional Compensatory Work Time. Employees who are authorized by the Employer to perform work via the telephone in an emergency or non-emergency situation, before or after their regularly assigned tour of duty, in excess of de minimis time, shall be compensated at the straight time or overtime rate as appropriate and in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. The Employer reserves the right to verify calls and require documentation of the call, including but not limited to: date, time and length of call; time spent addressing the emergency or required work; name of client or contact; reason for the emergency or required work; and signature of employee.
