Additional First Lien Secured Party Consent Sample Clauses

The "Additional First Lien Secured Party Consent" clause establishes the requirement that any new lenders or creditors who are granted first lien security interests must obtain the consent of existing first lien secured parties before their interests become effective. In practice, this means that if a borrower wishes to add another lender with equal priority in the collateral, the current first lien lenders must approve this addition, often through a formal consent process. This clause ensures that the original first lien lenders maintain control over the group of creditors sharing their priority, preventing dilution of their security position and managing the risks associated with multiple parties holding equal claims on the same collateral.
