Additional Insured Status Required Clause Samples

The "Additional Insured Status Required" clause mandates that one party must be named as an additional insured on another party’s insurance policy. In practice, this means that, for example, a contractor may require a subcontractor to add the contractor to the subcontractor’s liability insurance, thereby extending coverage to the contractor for certain claims arising from the subcontractor’s work. This clause primarily functions to provide extra protection to the party being added as an insured, ensuring they have access to insurance coverage and reducing their direct exposure to certain risks.
