Additional Physical Design Specifications Clause Samples

The "Additional Physical Design Specifications" clause defines any extra requirements or standards that must be met in the physical design of a project or product, beyond the general specifications already provided. This may include details such as specific materials to be used, unique structural features, or compliance with certain industry standards. By outlining these supplementary requirements, the clause ensures that all parties are aware of and adhere to particular design expectations, thereby reducing the risk of misunderstandings or non-compliance during the project's execution.
Additional Physical Design Specifications. Conduit. Facilities placed in SBC MISSOURI’S conduit system following the effective date of this Appendix shall meet all of the following physical design specifications: (a) Except as otherwise specifically agreed in this Appendix or licenses issued hereunder CLEC’s facilities shall enter SBC MISSOURI’S conduit system at locations consistent with the physical design specifications that SBC MISSOURI applies to itself (typically through a manhole) or at such other designated locations agreed upon in writing (e.g., through the licensing process) by the parties in accordance with Section 6.03 (infrequent construction techniques and connectivity solutions). (b) Cables bound or wrapped with cloth or having any kind of fibrous coverings or impregnated with an adhesive material shall not be placed in SBC MISSOURI’S conduit or ducts. (c) The integrity of SBC MISSOURI’S conduit system and overall safety of personnel require that “dielectric cable” be used within SBC MISSOURI’S conduit system when a cable facility utilizes a duct or route shared in the same trench by any electric transmissions facility such as the facilities of a power utility. (d) New construction splices in cables (including but not limited to fiber optic and twisted pair cables) shall be located in manholes, pull boxes or handholes.
Additional Physical Design Specifications. Licensee's facilities placed in BellSouth's conduit system must meet all of the following physical design specifications: 3.4.1 Cables bound or wrapped with cloth or having any kind of fibrous coverings or impregnated with an adhesive material shall not be placed in BellSouth's conduit or ducts. 3.4.2 The integrity of BellSouth's conduit system and overall safety of BellSouth's personnel and other personnel working in BellSouth's conduit system requires that "dielectric cable" be required when Licensee's cable facility utilizes an alternative duct or route that is shared in the same trench by any current carrying facility of a power utility. 3.4.3 New construction splices in Licensee's fiber optic and twisted pair cables shall be located in manholes, pull boxes or handholes.
Additional Physical Design Specifications. Attaching Party’s facilities placed in AT&T’s Conduit System must meet all of the following physical design specifications: 6.5.1 Cables bound or wrapped with cloth or having any kind of fibrous coverings or impregnated with an adhesive material shall not be placed in AT&T’s Conduit or Ducts. 6.5.2 The integrity of AT&T’s Conduit System and overall safety of AT&T’s personnel and other personnel working in AT&T’s Conduit System requires that dielectric cable be placed when Attaching Party’s cable utilizes an alternative Duct or route that is shared in the same trench by any current-carrying facility of a power utility. 6.5.3 New construction splices in Attaching Party’s fiber optic and twisted pair cables may be located in AT&T’s Manholes or Handholes only when, in AT&T’s sole judgment: (a) there is sufficient space available; and (b) placing splice cases outside of AT&T’s Manholes or Handholes is unreasonable in light of the cost and feasibility. In those cases, AT&T may, in its sole discretion, permit Attaching Party to place new construction splices in AT&T’s Conduit System at a location to be determined by AT&T. In no event are any splice points allowed in AT&T’s Conduit or Ducts. 6.5.4 Attaching Party will be permitted to connect its Conduit or Duct only at an AT&T Manhole. No attachment will be made by entering or breaking into Conduit between Manholes. All necessary work to install Attaching Party facilities will be performed by Attaching Party, or its contractor, at Attaching Party’s expense. In no event shall Attaching Party, or its contractor, “core bore” or make any other modification to AT&T Manhole(s) without the prior written approval of AT&T. 6.5.5 If Attaching Party constructs or utilizes a Duct connected to AT&T’s Manhole, the Duct and all connections between that Duct and AT&T’s Manhole shall be sealed, to the extent practicable, to prevent the entry of gases or liquids into AT&T’s Conduit System. If Attaching Party’s Duct enters a building, it shall also be sealed where it enters the building and at all other locations necessary to prevent the entry of gases and liquids from the building into AT&T’s Conduit System.
