Adjusted Service Date Clause Samples

The Adjusted Service Date clause defines a revised or alternative date from which an employee’s service with an employer is calculated, often differing from their original hire date. This adjustment may account for periods of prior employment, leaves of absence, or breaks in service, effectively recognizing additional time for purposes such as benefits eligibility, seniority, or vesting. By establishing a clear method for recalculating service time, this clause ensures fairness and consistency in how employment-related entitlements are determined.
