Common use of Administrative Access to Records Clause in Contracts

Administrative Access to Records. In accordance with applicable law, including applicable HIPAA records access standards, Practitioner shall give BCN and BCBSM access to Member medical records upon reasonable notice in order to facilitate their role in adjudicating claims, conducting quality management and utilization management and handling Member complaints. Upon reasonable request by BCN or BCBSM, Practitioner shall provide to BCN and/or BCBSM copies of Members’ medical records without charge.
