Advanced Degrees Clause Samples

The "Advanced Degrees" clause defines the recognition or requirements related to higher educational qualifications, such as master's or doctoral degrees, within the context of an agreement. Advanced Degrees. Additionally, instructors who hold advanced degrees 38 would be compensated for those advanced degrees in accordance with the current 39 teacher salary schedule. Those instructors who hold a Florida Teaching Certificate, 40 and teach at least two (2) non-JROTC classes shall be placed on the salary 41 schedule at the appropriate experience level based on actual teaching experience 42 as defined above or six (6) years’ experience credit for military service, or an 43 experience credit in accordance with the District agreement with the military, 44 whichever is greater
Advanced Degrees. Employees who receive an advanced degree beyond a Masters will receive a stipend of $2,000.

Advanced Degrees. Masters: In accordance with the Certificated Salary Schedules [Addendum B1 and Addendum B2], $1,000 shall be added annually to salaries of those holding Masters Degrees. Doctorates: In accordance with the Certificated Salary Schedules [Addendum B1 and Addendum B2], $1500 shall be added annually to salaries of those holding Doctorate Degrees.
Advanced Degrees. An administrator who is actively employed in the district and who earns a Specialist or Doctorate Degree shall be awarded a $2,500.00 stipend each year per degree. The $2,500.00 shall be shown on the contract as a stipend, to avoid confusion with the current salary schedule. The $2,500.00 payment will be made on September 1st of the current year once the degree is verified to the district.
Advanced Degrees. In addition to the annual base salary, if eligible, the Assistant Superintendent shall also receive a stipend of Two Thousand and Fifty-Five Dollars ($2,055.00) for possession of a Master's degree and a stipend of Three Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty-Five Dollars ($3,425.00) for possession of a doctoral degree. These stipends are indexed to the last step of the Elementary Principal salary schedule (1.5% for a MA and 2.5% for a doctorate).
Advanced Degrees. Effective July 1, 2000, bargaining unit members shall be compensated for possessing a Master’s Degree, and for possessing a Doctorate Degree. The established rates are listed on the current Salary Schedules.
Advanced Degrees. 1. Adjustments to higher salary levels shall be made only upon the receipt of an official transcript signifying the award of the advanced degree, for those employees on the grandfathered salary schedule, from an institution of higher education that has Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Northwestern Association of Schools and Colleges, North Central Association of Schools and Colleges, New England Association of Schools and Colleges, or Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools accreditation, or the verification of appropriate experience. Salary adjustments associated with the receipt of such an official transcript or written verification of appropriate experience shall be effective retroactive to the beginning date of an employee’s appointment for the academic year in which the transcript or verification is received by the Personnel Office, or to the date on which the advanced degree is awarded or the appropriate experience is completed, whichever date is later.
Advanced Degrees. Any member who has earned a doctorate will receive an additional pensionable stipend of $5,000 per year.
