Alteration of Part-Time Equivalent Clause Samples

The 'Alteration of Part-Time Equivalent' clause defines the process and conditions under which an employee's part-time status or hours may be changed. Typically, this clause outlines how requests for increasing or decreasing part-time hours are to be made, who must approve such changes, and any notice periods required. For example, it may specify that an employee can request to move from 0.5 to 0.8 FTE, subject to managerial approval and operational needs. The core function of this clause is to provide a clear framework for adjusting part-time work arrangements, ensuring both employer and employee understand the procedure and limitations, thereby reducing misunderstandings and disputes.
