Common use of Alternate Days Clause in Contracts

Alternate Days. a) Whenever a legal holiday falls on a Sunday, the following business day shall be considered a legal holiday. b) Whenever a legal holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding business day shall be considered a legal holiday. c) Neither subsections (a) or (b) shall apply to an employee whose basic work week is other than Monday through Friday. d) If a holiday occurs on a non-work day of an employee whose basic work week is other than Monday through Friday, the work day nearest such non-work day is a legal holiday for the employee.
