AMENDMENTS TO APPENDIX B. The IMS is sold as a complete, ready to use, “plug and play” system that may also include a printer and scanner. The IMS is integrated for one or more of the above Disability Groups and must meet the form, function and utility of the Authorized User. This includes extended warranty services such as on-site maintenance (Contractor will dispatch a Contractor representative to Agency or Authorized User’s site) or depot repair services (Contractor will designate a site for pick up and delivery of hardware for maintenance services). MICROCOMPUTER Computer(s) that uses a microprocessor for its central processing unit, including but not limited to, desktop computers, laptop computers and personal computers. MICROCOMPUTER SYSTEMS Computer(s) that use a microprocessor for its central processing unit and the associated devices, including but not limited to: hardware (e.g. keyboard, display, microchips, memory, and storage), and Related Software. RELATED SOFTWARE Software that is required for the hardware setup or to take full advantage of all features of the Product, including operating system software purchased with or included with the Microcomputer Hardware purchase. The above categories (a) and (c) must be acquired and delivered at the time of the hardware purchase. Category (d), Third Party Software, must also be acquired and delivered at the time of the hardware purchase, unless the software can also be classified as category (b), Assistive Technology software. (5) INTEGRATED MICROCOMPUTER SYSTEM (IMS) A laptop or desktop personal microcomputer that has been modified for use by persons with disabilities via integration of Assistive Technology devices (hardware and software), that meets the Authorized User’s form, function and utility. Also known as “cost per copy.” COPIER: An imaging device whose primary function is the production of hard copy duplicates of written, printed, or graphic material. Also known as a Photocopier. DIGITAL DUPLICATOR: Equipment which utilizes printing technology designed for high-volume print jobs. Images are digitally scanned and then transferred to a master template through a thermal imaging process. The master is then automatically wrapped around a print cylinder, where the ink is drawn through the perforations in the master creating the print.
