Amount of remuneration. A piece rate shall be paid for separate distribution work entailing unaddressed deliveries. For the first two products delivered in a batch, 5.40 cents each shall be paid in multi- occupancy blocks and in a multi-occupancy housing area, and 5.62 cents for each household and distribution instance (i.e. each time there is a distribution) in detached and terraced houses and in other areas of detached and terraced housing. For each subsequent distributable product, 0.96 cents shall be paid for each household and distribution instance. For papers received unfolded for distribution, an additional 1.15 cents per piece shall be paid. The remuneration compensates for the sorting and distribution of deliveries. If an employee performing separate distribution work entailing unaddressed deliveries al- so performs other work conformant to the collective labour agreement for the same em- ployer, the salary payable for the other work shall be determined by the salary specified in the Salary Appendix document applicable to said task. Remuneration payable for sep- arate distribution work entailing unaddressed deliveries is determined solely by piece rates as agreed upon in this appendix. The remuneration described in this appendix shall not be taken into account in calcula- tion of an employee’s annual-holiday pay; including annual-holiday bonuses conformant to the collective labour agreement; holiday compensation payable instead of holiday pay at the end of the employment relationship; salary for a period of absence for which sick- leave compensation is granted; holiday bonus; compensation for overtime or unusual working hours; or other salaries, bonuses, or compensation determined under the collec- tive labour agreement. For the time spent rendering the deliveries ready for distribution and for distribution, the employee shall earn at least the hourly salary defined in the collective labour agreement for salary group 001 of Salary Appendix D applicable to employees in newspaper distri- bution work. Should the employee not receive the above-mentioned minimum hourly salary, the em- ployee is obliged to notify his or her supervisor of the hours he or she has spent in the distribution of the deliveries and his or her minimum salary requirement.
