Common use of Amount of the Contract Clause in Contracts

Amount of the Contract. Subject to the terms of this Contract, the Grantor hereby makes available to the Grantee out of funds appropriated a grant in the sum of FOURTEEN MILLION, SIX HUNDRED SIXTY FOUR THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED FOUR DOLLARS ($14,664,804.00) AND NO CENTS or such portion thereof as may be required by the Grantee and authorized by the Grantor, subject to the condition that it shall be used by the Grantee to carry out the activities described in the application submitted by the Grantee and as approved by the Grantor, and which is incorporated herein by reference. In addition, this Contract shall be subject to Appendix A, Project Description and Special Conditions, and Appendix B, Budget Summary, which are attached hereto and incorporated herein. Prior to approval of the Grantee’s application, the Grantor evaluated the Grantee’s risk of noncompliance with Federal statutes, regulations, and the terms and conditions of the subaward for purposes of determining the appropriate level of monitoring, and, if necessary, has included specific conditions under Appendix C, Special Conditions, to address any concerns which arose during the evaluation process.
