AND WAGES. The Employer will classify employees and will pay hourly rates in accordance with Schedule A attached which forms part of this Agreement. In the event of an error on an employee’s pay, the correction will be made in the pay period following the date on which the overpayment comes to the Employer‘s attention. If the error results in an employee being underpaid by one (1) day’s pay or more, the Employer will provide payment for the shortfall within three (3) business days (excludes Saturday, Sunday and Statutory Holidays) from the date it is notified of the error or by mutual agreement between the Home and the employee. All general incremental increases will be effective on the beginning of the nearest pay period of the date of change.

AND WAGES. Effective 1/1/2023, members of the bargaining unit shall be paid according to the attached scale. However, if the agreement is ratified after 12/31/2022, effective 1/1/2023, as to Act 312 eligible employees covered under this agreement and upon ratification in 2023 and on a non- retroactive basis as to non-Act 312 eligible employees covered under this agreement: The attached scales shall be adjusted to remove the Start Rate of pay for Animal Control Officers, Corrections Officers, and Field Services Deputies and the remaining steps re-numbered as attached. Employees who are presently on the Start step, shall be immediately moved to the new Start Step. All other employees shall stay at their current step as of date of ratification and shall move to the next step on their applicable scale, on their next anniversary date. As an example, a Corrections Officer on the 2 years step (current $52,087), stays on the same step and the wage moves to $53,650 after ratification in 2023, which includes the 3% increase proposed in 2 below. Likewise, a Field Services Deputy on the 4 years step (current $67,327), stays on the same step and the wage moves to
AND WAGES. Job classifications and full-time wages are set out in Schedule "A" of this agreement. Part time staff wages are set out in Schedule & of this agreement. The minimum hourly rates of wages for all full-time employees shall be as Schedule "A" and part-time minimum rates shall be as Schedule of this Agreement, provided that where an individuals wages are higher, such rate of wages shall not be reduced by reason of this Agreement. The rates of pay provided in Schedule "A" are minimum rates and apply to the job classification and not to the individual. No employee will suffer a reduction of wages when moving to a new classification within the bargaining unit by management directive except in the case of a layoff or in the case of a permanent reclassification. This clause shall not apply when an employee, of own volition, seeks additional hours of work in a classification different than own.
AND WAGES. Job classifications are set out in Schedule "A" of this agreement. Professional Support clerical employees in the administration building and technical employees become eligible for adjustment on January 1st of each year, where applicable. Educational Assistants and school clerical employees employed on a month basis become eligible for adjustment on September of each year, where applicable. Where an adjustment is to be withheld by the Board on the basis of unsatisfactory performance, the employee will be notified, writing, in advance, of the normal date of the adjustment as outlined in Article New employees of the Board may be eligible for an adjustment if they have a hiring date which is no less than months prior to their first adjustment review, as applicable, in Article above. If a former employee of the Board is re-hired as a fulltime employee, accumulated satisfactory service shall be recognized up to the maximum of the category if applicable, in determining related experience. Speech Pathologists and Social Workers shall receive credit of one (1) increment level up to category maximum on the appropriate salary scale for each year of acceptable experience. An acceptable year of professional experience is defined as one year of relevant employment supported with signed documentation the previous employer. Relevant employment is employment with a provincially registered or recognized agency or organization which provides educational and/or other professional services consistent with those services performed by staff members of the Catholic School Board. Where an employee is promoted to a position classified at a higher salary level, will receive the minimum salary for the higher level. If salary prior to promotion is greater than the minimum salary, will receive the salary step next higher to present salary. The date for increment eligibility shall not change as a result of promotion. If the transfer is for the convenience of the Board, and if the rate of pay to which is transferred is less than the employee's regular rate of pay, shall receive regular rate of pay. If the transfer is at the convenience of the employee or in lieu of layoff, and if the rate of pay in the classification to which is transferred is less than the regular rate of pay, shall receive such lesser rate. If the transfer is to a higher rated classification, then the employee will receive the higher rate of pay in accordance with Article
AND WAGES. The Employer will classify employees and will pay hourly rates in accordance with Appendix "A" attached which forms part of this Agreement. All benefits and indirect monetary entitlements for employees regularly working less than thirty-seven and one- half hours per week and more than twenty-four (24) hours per week will be prorated. The Employer agrees that employees will be paid every two weeks. When a new classification which is covered by the terms of this Collective Agreement is established by the Employer, the Employer shall determine the rate of pay for the new classification and notify the local Union. If the Union challenges the rate it shall have the right to request a meeting with the Employer within ten days after receipt of notice from the Employer and endeavour to negotiate a mutually satisfactory rate for the new classification. Any change in rate shall be adjusted retroactively to the date that the new classification was first filled. If the parties are unable to agree, the dispute the new rate may be submitted to arbitration in line with the terms of this Collective Agreement, within fifteen (15) days of the above meeting. The decision of the arbitration board shall be based on the relationship established by comparison with other classifications within the bargaining unit, having regard to the requirements of such position and shall be retroactive to the date that the new classification was first filled. Progression through the wage grid, (Schedule "A"), will be in accordance with length of service in the classification.
AND WAGES. If a Company error occurs in the payroll computation of a bargaining unit member's pay cheque and the amount is equal to one (1) day's pay or more, shall be entitled, on request, to receive same as soon as practical but not later than four (4) working days after the error was reported. Any other payroll errors will be corrected on the next regular pay cheque. If the Company contemplates the establishment of new classifications, the parties will meet in order to establish a rate of pay. If the parties are not successful, the Company shall establish an interim wage rate and the parties shall proceed to arbitration.
