The 'Annual Leave and Long Service Leave' clause sets out the entitlements and conditions under which employees may take paid time off from work, both on a yearly basis and after extended periods of service. ANNUAL LEAVE AND LONG SERVICE LEAVE. 12.1 Recreation leave, leave bonus and long service leave entitlements will be paid in accordance with the prescribed entitlements.
12.2 While normally employees are not entitled to pro-rata long service leave until they have accrued ten years’ continuous service, employees retrenched under this agreement shall on termination receive payment for an amount equivalent to pro-rata long service after one year’s continuous service.
ANNUAL LEAVE AND LONG SERVICE LEAVE. 6.1 You will be entitled to four weeks’ annual leave pro rata per year of service in accordance with the Act. You will be encouraged to take your full entitlement each year.
6.2 Payment for the period of leave will be on the basis of the ordinary time you would have worked had you not been on annual leave.
6.3 Annual leave must be taken at a time or times to be approved by the Company.
6.4 You will be entitled to long service leave entitlements in accordance with the long service leave legislation applicable to the Company’s employment.
ANNUAL LEAVE AND LONG SERVICE LEAVE. Recreation leave, leave bonus and long service leave entitlements will be paid in accordance with the prescribed entitlements.
ANNUAL LEAVE AND LONG SERVICE LEAVE. (a) Annual leave and long service leave will be afforded to all employees in accordance with the Workplace Relations Act 1996 (Cth) and the Long Service Leave Act 1955 (NSW) respectively.
(b) For seven day shift workers annual leave entitlement shall be 210 hours per year. Annual leave entitlement shall be deducted at 12 hours for each rostered shift the shift worker would have worked had he/she not been on leave. Shift workers (not Monday to Friday workers) shall be paid for 12 hours at the paid rate per shift taken as leave.
(c) A seven day shift worker may elect to forego 42 hours of annual leave and receive payment instead of taking that amount of annual leave. In order to receive payment instead of taking 42 hours of annual leave, the following steps must be complied with:
(i) The seven day shift worker must notify the Company in writing that he/she wishes to forego 42 hours of his/her annual leave entitlement and receive payment instead of taking such 42 hours of annual leave; and
(ii) Such written notification must be provided to the Company at least one (1) month prior to the first pay date in December each year otherwise the seven day shift worker will be required to take the 42 hours as annual leave. Payment for the foregone 42 hours of annual leave will be made on the first pay date in December each year at the seven day shift worker's paid rate of pay.
(d) Due to the varying nature of the rosters being worked at the Plant, and in order to meet the requirements of the business, the Plant Manager must approve all requests for annual leave. It is agreed between the parties that a “minimum” block of 60 hours annual leave is to be taken at any time, for those employees engaged in shift work. For periods of annual leave less than 60 hours written approval must be obtained from the Company's Manager to whom the Plant Manager reports
(e) Employees will be paid in advance or weekly for annual leave at the rate applicable to the skill level at which they are classified. Annual leave loading of 17.5% will be paid on annual leave paid at the base rate of pay. Annual leave loading is not payable on annual leave paid at the paid rate of pay.
(f) Any employee with insufficient leave entitlement for the period of P lant closure will be given leave without pay (without interfering with continuity of service for accrual of entitlements).

Annual leave and long service leave will be afforded to all employees in accordance with the Annual Holidays Act (NSW) 1944 and the Long Service Leave Act (NSW) 1955. For continuous seven day shift workers annual leave entitlement shall be 210 hours per year. Annual leave entitlement shall be deducted at 12 hours per day of leave taken. Employees shall be paid for 12 hours at the hourly rate per shift taken as leave.
ANNUAL LEAVE AND LONG SERVICE LEAVE. (a) Annual leave and long service leave will accrue on a pro-rata basis based on the number of ordinary hours actually worked.
(b) For example: if each job sharer is required to work fifty percent (50%) of ordinary full time hours, they should expect to accrue fifty percent (50%) of the annual leave of a full-time worker.
(c) Job sharers will not be allowed long service leave at the same time To facilitate annual leave job sharers may elect to take their leave concurrently or relieve each other at single time rates in which case leave may be taken at any time.
ANNUAL LEAVE AND LONG SERVICE LEAVE. 22.1. Period of Annual Leave Annual leave shall be in accordance with clause 22 of the Award. Weekly employees shall receive 5 weeks annual leave or pro rata for each completed year of service. Where a 12-hour shift is worked and maintained as per Appendix A, Annual leave for the employee shall not exceed fifteen (15) shifts. Where an 8-hour shift is worked and maintained as per Appendix A, Annual leave for the employee shall not exceed twenty five (25) shifts.
ANNUAL LEAVE AND LONG SERVICE LEAVE. 15.1 Annual Leave and Long Service Leave, where entitled, shall be taken at a time mutually convenient to the Company and the Employer.
15.2 An employee’s accrued entitlement to annual leave shall not be allowed to exceed 25 days at any one time.
15.3 The annual leave accrued for any full-time employee shall be 4 weeks per year payable at the ordinary rate of pay, and pro rata for part time and fixed term employees.
15.4 Partial Pay Out of Annual Leave An employee may elect to be paid out for such proportion of his/her annual leave accrued entitlement which exceeds two weeks and which stands to the employee’s credit as at 30 March or 30 September each year payable in April and October each year. Employees need to have completed 12 months service to be eligible for the partial pay out of annual leave.
ANNUAL LEAVE AND LONG SERVICE LEAVE. You are entitled to annual leave and long service leave in accordance with applicable legislation. Generally, the Act provides for 20 days’ paid annual leave per year for full time employees. Subject to law, the Company may direct you to take annual leave at any time by providing you with a month’s notice including, without limitation: during periods when the Company is operationally closed, such as over the Christmas break; or in circumstances where you have accrued more than 20 days’ annual leave entitlements Personal/Carers Leave You are entitled to personal/carer’s leave in accordance with applicable legislation and this Person/Carers Leave Clause. Generally, the Act provides for 10 days paid personal/carer’s leave each year for full time employees. This entitlement is cumulative. You will not be entitled to any payment for accrued personal/carer’s leave on the termination of your employment. Personal/carer’s leave may be used in circumstances where: you are ill or injured; or you need to provide care or support for a member of your immediate family or household (as those terms are defined in applicable legislation) who is ill or injured or who requires your care or support due to an unexpected emergency affecting them. You are required to notify your Manager as soon as possible and in accordance with the Company’s relevant policy for every absence from work and its probable duration. Upon request by the Company, you must promptly provide the Company with reasons for the absence. The Company may require you to provide the Company with satisfactory evidence confirming any illness or injury in respect of which personal/carer’s leave is taken. This may include a medical certificate or a statutory declaration, as required by the Company. During your employment, if the Company has any concerns about your wellbeing or fitness to work, the Company may require you to be examined by a doctor and provide a report to you and the Company. Depending on the circumstances, the doctor may be your treating doctor or a doctor nominated by the Company.
ANNUAL LEAVE AND LONG SERVICE LEAVE. (i) Casual employees will receive an additional payment of 1/12 of the hourly EGR for each hour of ordinary time worked in lieu of annual leave and do not receive long service leave.
(ii) Full time permanent employees, will receive leave payments based on the employees rosters operating at the time leave is taken. Annual leave will be paid at 117.5% of the EGR. Part-time permanent employees, will receive pro rata payment per week of leave based on the EGR times the proportion of the average number of scheduled ordinary hours worked per week to 38, and in the case of annual leave will be paid at 117.5% of the EGR.
