Common use of Appearances Clause in Contracts

Appearances. If it is necessary for an employee to participate in a grievance or arbitration proceeding during working hours, the employee's salary shall neither be reduced nor increased for time spent in such activities. Prior to participation in any such proceeding, the employee shall make arrangements acceptable to the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for the performance of the employee's duties. Approval of such arrangements shall not be unreasonably withheld.
