Common use of Appearances Clause in Contracts

Appearances. If it is necessary for an Employee to participate in a settlement meeting or a grievance hearing, or arbitration proceeding during work hours, the Employee's salary shall neither be reduced nor increased for time spent in such activities. Prior to participation in any such proceeding, the Employee shall make arrangements acceptable to the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇/Vice President for Academic Affairs for the performance of the Employee's duties. Approval of such arrangements shall not be unreasonably withheld.
