Common use of Applicability of Sinking Fund Clause in Contracts

Applicability of Sinking Fund. Redemption of Debt Securities permitted or required pursuant to a sinking fund for the retirement of Debt Securities of a series shall be made in accordance with the applicable provisions of this Article, except as otherwise specified in the manner contemplated by Section 3.01 for Debt Securities of such series. The minimum amount of any sinking fund payment provided for by the terms of Debt Securities of any series is herein referred to as a "Mandatory Sinking Fund Payment", and any payment in excess of such minimum amount provided for by the terms of Debt Securities of any series is herein referred to as an "Optional Sinking Fund Payment". The cash amount of any Mandatory Sinking Fund Payment shall be subject to reduction as provided in Section 4.08.
