Application Review Process. 1. All Michigan Medicine PAs in a PA job classification will be placed in the first PA level within the PDM at program inception. No application is required. 2. Advancement in the PDM to subsequent PA levels is not automatic. PAs must follow the application process to be considered for advancement. a. Upon advancement to PA Intermediate or higher, PAs will remain at their current level in the PDM unless a subsequent level is achieved. 3. A formal application with supporting documentation must be submitted to the PDM Review Committee in order to be considered for advancement in the PDM. Incomplete applications will not be processed. 4. Applications will be reviewed by the PDM Review Committee. a. The Employer and UPAMM will convene a PDM Review Committee consisting of a minimum of 3 PA Managers or Directors and a minimum of 5 PAs appointed by UPAMM The committee will be co-chaired by a UPAMM and the Employer. b. Payroll adjustments for level advancement will occur as soon as practicable, ideally in the next available payroll cycle following PDM Review Committee notification. c. Applicants will receive notification of the committee’s decision as soon as practicable after their application is reviewed by the PDM Review Committee and a determination is made. 5. The PDM Review committee decisions are final. Applicants who do not successfully achieve advancement may reapply after 1 year. E. Section 5: Implementation 1. Within 90 days of ratification the members of the PDM Review Committee will be designated and schedule an initial meeting. 2. The process of PDM program implementation and application requirements will be approved by consensus of the Labor Management Committee (LMC) based on recommendations from the PDM Review Committee. 3. As soon as practicable the PDM Review Committee will set an initial application deadline. 4. The PDM program will undergo periodic reviews and all proposed revisions made by the PDM Review Committee will be approved by consensus of the Labor Management Committee (LMC).
