Appointment and Duties of the Calculation Agent. 7.1 The Issuer appoints the Paying Agent at its specified office as Calculation Agent in relation to those Notes in respect of which it has agreed to act as Calculation Agent. 7.2 Subject to Clause 7.1 above, the Paying Agent acknowledges and agrees that it shall be appointed as Calculation Agent in respect of each issue of Floating Rate Notes unless the Dealer (or one of the Dealers) through whom such Notes are issued has agreed in writing with the Issuer to act as Calculation Agent or the Issuer otherwise agrees to appoint another institution as Calculation Agent. 7.3 The Calculation Agent shall in respect of each issue of Floating Rate Notes in relation to which it is appointed as such, determine the amount of interest payable on, each such Floating Rate Note in accordance with the terms thereof. 7.4 The Calculation Agent shall as soon as it has made its determination as provided for in Clause 7.3 above (and, in any event, no later than the close of business on the date on which the determination is made) notify the Issuer and the Principal Paying Agent (if other than the Calculation Agent) of the redemption amount and/or, if applicable the amount of interest so payable.
