Common use of Appointment of Sub-processors Clause in Contracts

Appointment of Sub-processors. Customer acknowledges and agrees that (a) SFDC’s Affiliates may be retained as Sub- processors; and (b) SFDC and SFDC’s Affiliates respectively may engage third-party Sub-processors to provide the Services. SFDC or an SFDC Affiliate has entered into a written agreement with each Sub-processor containing, in substance, data protection obligations no less protective than those in the Agreement with respect to the protection of Personal Data to the extent applicable to the nature of the Services provided by such Sub-processor.
