Approval of Materials Prior To Use. Prior to use, the Contractor shall notify the Engineer of all proposed materials. The Contractor shall use the Qualified Product List (QPL), the Aggregate Source Approval (ASA) Database, or the Request for Approval of Material (RAM) form. All equipment, materials, and articles incorporated into the permanent Work: 1. Shall be new, unless the Special Provisions or Standard Specifications permit otherwise; 2. Shall meet the requirements of the Contract and be approved by the Engineer; 3. May be inspected or tested at any time during their preparation and use; and 4. Shall not be used in the Work if they become unfit after being previously approved.
