APPROVAL OF SUBMITTALS. Time is of the essence with regard to review and decision-making for submittals. Therefore, the Professional shall review and approve, disapprove, or take other appropriate action on any submittal or resubmission of a submittal within 10 working days of receipt, unless a different period is approved by the Department. The 10-day period consists of the date of the Professional’s receipt of the submittal to the date that the Professional sends the submittal to the Prime Contractor and the Department. There is no limit on the number of resubmissions that the Professional will be required to review until approval is given, so detailed notations on rejected submittals are required.
