Archive Copies Clause Samples
The Archive Copies clause defines the rights and obligations regarding the retention of copies of documents or data after the termination or completion of an agreement. Typically, it allows one or both parties to keep copies of certain records for legal, regulatory, or archival purposes, even after the main contractual relationship has ended. For example, a service provider may retain backup files or transaction records to comply with audit requirements. This clause ensures that necessary information can be preserved for future reference or compliance, while clarifying the limits and conditions under which such copies may be kept.
