ARTICLE UNION SECURITY. The Employer agrees to deduct from the first pay in each month from each employee who is in the bargaining unit, as a condition of employment, an amount equal to the regular monthly Union dues as certified by the Union during the term of this Agreement, with such dues deduction for a new employee to start with the first dues deduction payroll following thirty (30) days from the date of hire of such employee. Dues deducted shall be remitted to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Local Union on or before the 25th day of each month. The Union agrees to keep the Employer harmless and indemnified from any claims against it by an employee which arises out of any deduction under this Article. It is mutually agreed that a recognized Union representativeshall be given the opportunity of each new employee for a minute period once upon the completion of their probationary period for the purpose of informing such employee of the existence of the Union in the Association and presenting such employee with a copy of the Collective Agreement. The Employer shall indicate on the Check-Off List each month the names of the persons to be interviewed. The interview shall take place on the Employer's premises in a room designated by the Employer. The address of each employee in the bargaining unit from who pay Union dues are being deducted shall be given on the first Check-Off list of Union dues under this Agreement. The name of each employee in the Bargaining Unit who has terminated his employment shall be shown as such on the next Check-Off List only immediately following such termination.

ARTICLE UNION SECURITY. The parties hereto agree that no employee will in any manner be discriminated against or coerced, restrained or influenced on account of membership or non-membership in any labour organization or by reason of any activity or lack of activity in any labour organization. The Union will not nor will any employee engage in Union activities during working hours or hold meetings at any time on the premises of the Employer agrees to deduct from without the first pay in each month from each employee who is in permission of the bargaining unit, as a condition of employment, an amount equal to the regular monthly Union dues as certified by the Union during Employer. During the term of this Agreement, with such the Employer agrees to deduct from each employee covered by this Agreement the dues deduction for a new employee and/or assessments as designated by the Union. Such deductions will commence immediately upon employment The Union agrees to start with give the first dues deduction payroll following Employer thirty (30) days from notice in writing of the date of hire amount of such employeedues and/or assessments as designated, or of any changes in the amount of such dues and/or assessments. If applicable, where a part-time employee receives no wages in a pay period, but received wages during the Calendar month, the appropriate dues will be deducted from the next pay period in which the part-time employee receives wages. The name of each employee in the Bargaining Unit who has terminated his employment shall be shown as such on the next Check-Off List only immediately following such terminationunion membership.
