Except as may otherwise be permitted under Code Section 401(a)(13)(C) effective August 5, 1997, or as otherwise be permitted under a Qualified Domestic Relations Order as provided in Section 8.11 or as otherwise be permitted under Section ? if Participant loans are permitted, no right or claim to, or interest in, any part of the Trust Fund, or any payment therefrom, will be assignable, transferable, or subject to sale, mortgage, pledge, hypothecation, commutation, anticipation, garnishment, attachment, execution, or levy of any kind, and the Trustees will not recognize any attempt to assign, transfer, sell, mortgage, pledge, hypothecate, commute, or anticipate the same, except to the extent required by law.
