Common use of Assignment of Assessing Duties Clause in Contracts

Assignment of Assessing Duties. The TOWN does hereby vest in the Assessor, to the extent allowed by law, enforcement powers of the TOWN which are necessary to implement and carry forth the services, duties, and responsibilities imposed upon the COUNTY hereby, for the sole and limited purpose of giving official and lawful status and validity to the performance thereof by such Assessor and other staff. The Assessor of the Town so empowered hereby and engaged in the performance of the services, duties, and responsibilities described and contemplated herein shall be deemed to be a sworn officer of the TOWN while performing such services, duties, and responsibilities, which constitute municipal functions and are within the scope of this Contract.
