Common use of Assignment of Claims Clause in Contracts

Assignment of Claims. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 7103.5 and Government Code Section 4552, Contractor and Contractor’s subcontractor(s) hereby acknowledge and agree that by entering into a public works contract or a subcontract to supply goods, services, or materials pursuant to a public works contract, Contractor and Contractor’s subcontractor have offered and agreed to assign to District all rights, title, and interest in and to all causes of action Contractor and Contractor’s subcontractor(s) may have under Section 4 of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Act (15 U.S.C. Section 15) or under the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Act (Business and Professions Code Sections 16700, et seq.), arising from purchases of goods, services, or materials pursuant to this Contract. This assignment shall be made and become effective at the time District tenders final payment to Contractor, without further acknowledgment by the Parties.
