Common use of Assignment of this Contract Clause in Contracts

Assignment of this Contract. Neither party shall be entitled to assign, transfer, charge or hold on trust the benefit or burden of this Contract (or any part of it), without the prior written consent of other party, except that: 27.1 IEG4 shall be entitled to assign the benefit and burden of this Contract without Customer’s consent to a purchaser of some or all of IEG4’s business; and 27.2 Customer shall be entitled to assign the benefit and burden of this Contract without IEG4’s consent to any party that succeeds the Customer in having responsibility for the functions that form the subject of the Service.
