Association Representatives. The Association has the right to select employees from within the Bargaining Unit, as herein defined, to act as Association Representatives. It is agreed to and understood by the parties to this Agreement that Association Representatives may, without loss of pay, with prior approval of their supervisor, process grievances. The supervisor's approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. It is agreed to and understood that Association Representatives shall process grievances and conduct their other duties in such manner as to not disrupt normal County activities, work production and services. Distribution of Association literature shall not be done in work areas during work time. Every effort will be made, by both the County and the Association, to allow Association Representatives to investigate grievances as rapidly as possible, preferably on the same date as the grievance becomes known and at least within twenty-four (24) hours. The investigation of a pending grievance or personal contact of employees during work time by Association Representatives, or non-employee Association Business Representatives shall not be done without first receiving prior approval from an employee's supervisor. Approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. The total amount of time granted to Association Representatives cumulatively to process grievances and to attend union functions shall not exceed 2500 hours in total for each year of this Agreement. Time taken off under this provision shall be charged to Union Activity Leave. Non-employee Association Business Representatives shall be certified, in writing, by the Association to the County's Director of Labor Relations. The Association agrees that activities by the Association Representatives shall be carried out in such a manner as not to disrupt normal Departmental activities, work production and services.

Association Representatives. 6.1 The Business Manager, or designated representative(s), shall have access to the employees during working hours for the purpose of observing working conditions and interviewing employees.
6.2 The Association has shall notify the right to select employees from within Employer in writing of the Bargaining Unit, as herein defined, to act as Association Representatives. The names of Association Officers representatives. The Employer will recognize the representatives and Representatives will not discriminate against them for lawful Association activity.
6.3 Association representatives may investigate and settle grievances, attend joint Employer and Association meetings or attend to other business of the Association pertaining to the affairs of the Employer during working hours for a reasonable length of time. Employees serving as President or Director or Unit Co-ordinator/▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of the Association shall be certifiedallowed paid time, in writingincluding necessary traveling time, to the County's Labor Relations Director, and attend to the concerned Department DirectorsBusiness of the Association.
6.4 Employees shall be allowed time off to attend to other business of the Association, including necessary travelling time. It is agreed The Association shall advise the Employer of the name(s) of the employee(s) and the time required. All time granted for this purpose shall be billed to and understood by the Association.
6.5 The Employer also agrees that the Association may have the assistance of such representatives as it may designate in any negotiations or discussions between representatives of the parties to this Agreement that hereto.
6.6 Members of the Association Representatives mayNegotiating Committee shall receive their wages while traveling and attending a negotiation meeting with the Employer. Should negotiations extend into an employee’s regular day off, without loss of payequivalent time off will be allowed at a later date. If negotiations extend beyond normal daily working hours, with prior approval of their supervisor, process grievances. 6.7 Any paid time for Association business is not subject to 18% reduction for vehicle expenses.

Association Representatives. 10.1 The Association has will provide written notice to the right Chief of Police of the members of the bargaining unit selected to select employees serve as designated representatives of the Association. Each representative will be expected to perform their duties as a representative of the Association on their own time. However, it is recognized that from within the Bargaining Unittime to time it will be necessary for Association activities to be carried on during working hours, as herein definedfor example, investigation and processing of complaints, disputes, and grievances, attendance at Executive Board and general meetings, and those activities set forth in ORS 243.798(I)(a-h) (not to act as Association Representativesexceed 1,056 hours per year). The names of Association Officers and Representatives maximum yearly allowance shall be certifiedone hundred ninety-two (192) hours, in writingfor any one Executive Board member, to with no restriction on the County's Labor Relations Director, and to number of hours per month which may be utilized by the concerned Department Directorsmember. It is agreed further recognized that there are reasonable limited deviations from this policy, such as posting of Association notices and distribution of union literature, which do not require substantial periods of time. Where such activities are necessarily or reasonably to and understood by the parties to this Agreement that Association Representatives maybe performed during working hours, they may be done without loss of paypay to the representative involved, with prior approval of provided the representative notifies their on-duty supervisor, process grievanceswhenever possible, prior to taking time from duty to engage in Association business that exceeds one hour. It is agreed All Association activity will be reported on an appropriate time reporting form provided by Management.
10.1.1 Executive Board members not regularly assigned to and understood by the parties day shift shall be considered to this Agreement that there shall not be assigned to day shift for Executive Board meetings. However, no more than twenty-five one member from the same Reporting Unit and shift (25day, afternoon, nights) shall be so assigned.
10.2 Upon sufficient notification, the Chief of Police shall place members or representatives within of the Bargaining UnitAssociation on Association Leave for the purpose of attending as official delegates, as herein definedunion conventions or conferences to the extent that such leave does not interfere with the reasonable needs of the Bureau of Police. However, the total time for all such leaves will not exceed three hundred and twenty (320) hours per contract year. The supervisor's approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. Association Representatives. A. A representative of the Association shall be admitted to the premises of the Township.
B. The Township recognizes and shall deal with the accredited Association President or his designee in all matters relating to grievances and interpretation of this Agreement.
C. A written list of the Association Officials and Stewards shall be furnished to the Employer immediately after their designation and the Association shall notify the Employer promptly of any changes of such Association Stewards or Officials.
D. The Township agrees to recognize a maximum of two (2) Stewards selected by the Association. The Association has the right to select employees from within the Bargaining Unit, as herein defined, to act as Association Representatives. Both parties agree that if it is necessary for the President or his designee to perform any of such duties during his work time, the President, or his designee shall be released from work by his supervisor when it is convenient to the Township and only to the extent necessary to make the investigation and for conferring with the Township representative. Neither the President nor his designee shall leave their work without first obtaining the permission of their supervisordivision head, process grievances. It is agreed to and understood by the parties to this Agreement that there shall not be more than twenty-five (25) representatives within the Bargaining Unit, as herein defined.
