Common use of Assumption of the Risk Clause in Contracts

Assumption of the Risk. Residents understand that choosing to purchase University-provided dining services and living in University Housing may present certain known and unknown risks to their personal health, safety, and well-being and Residents knowingly agree to accept those risks. Residents acknowledge that while the University may implement measures intended to minimize the likelihood of contracting or being exposed to Communicable Illnesses, Residents can never be fully shielded from any and all risks of being exposed to or contracting any illness or disease. Residents understand that even if they follow recommended safety precautions, they may still become exposed to, infected with, or transmit a Communicable Illness to others.
