At minimum. (a) If known, the subject of the investigation will be informed that they are the subject of the investigation; (b) Employees who are the subject of investigation will be informed of the allegation(s) and will be informed that facts will be gathered and evaluated; (c) Employees who are not the subject of the investigation but who are called as witnesses shall be informed of the general nature of the investigation and the reasons for the inquiry; (d) Any information exchanged during the course of the investigation will remain confidential only to be shared during the course of official business.
