Audit or Investigation. (a) Audits or investigations may be conducted to determine com- pliance with the rule and regulations of the program. (b) If an audit or investigation is initiated, the provider must retain all original records and supportive materials until the audit is completed and all issues are resolved even if the period of reten- tion extends beyond the required six year period.
