Authority and Grant of Charter Clause Samples

The 'Authority, and Grant of Charter' clause formally establishes the legal power and legitimacy of an entity, such as a corporation or organization, by referencing the source of its authority and the official act of its creation. Typically, this clause identifies the governing law or statute under which the entity is formed and specifies the rights, privileges, and responsibilities granted to it. By clearly outlining the entity's foundational authority, this clause ensures that all parties recognize its legal standing and the scope of its permitted activities, thereby preventing disputes over its legitimacy or powers.
