Authorization of Notes Interest Rate Clause Samples

The 'Authorization of Notes; Interest Rate' clause establishes the lender's authority to issue promissory notes and specifies the interest rate applicable to those notes. In practice, this clause outlines the terms under which notes can be created, including the maximum principal amount and the method for determining the interest rate, such as referencing a fixed or variable benchmark. Its core function is to ensure both parties are clear on the borrowing terms and the cost of borrowing, thereby reducing the risk of disputes over interest calculations or the validity of the notes issued.
