Common use of Back Orders Clause in Contracts

Back Orders. A. Items temporarily out of stock shall be a minimum. When this occurs, the designated representative may determine the method used to obtain such items. Alternative procurement methods will only be utilized for temporary shortages. B. If items are out of stock, the designated representative will be notified, as early as possible, in writing. Excessive backorders will be grounds for contract cancellation.
