Common use of Back Up Copy Clause in Contracts

Back Up Copy. In addition to the number of copies of the Software installed and used pursuant to Section 2.1 and paid for in accordance with Section 5, Licensee may make one copy of each licensed Product per Subscription solely for back-up purposes, provided that Licensee reproduces all copyright and other proprietary notices that are on the original copy of the Software and such back-up copy is not installed or used other than for back-up and recovery purposes. Back-up copies that are used as part of a live or ‘hot’ back-up will be subject to additional fees.
