Background actors. (Union Proposal No. 5 and Producers’ Proposal No. 16.b.) a. Photographic Doubling (Union Proposal No. 5.H.) “When a Producer requires a background actor to do photographic doubling and to memorize and deliver scripted dialogue on camera, the background actor shall be paid an adjustment of an additional one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for that day.” d. Background actors. Modify paragraphs (1) and (2) of Section 1(c) of Schedule X, Part I of the SAG Codified Basic Agreement to provide:

Covered Background Actors (i) Increase the number of covered background actors on television programs in the zones covered by Schedule X, Part I from nineteen (19) with one stand-in excluded from the count to twenty (20) with one stand-in excluded from the count. (ii) Increase the number of covered background actors on theatrical motion pictures in the zones covered by Schedule X, Part I from fifty (50) (including stand-ins) to: (1) fifty-three (53) (including stand-ins) effective on June 10, 2009; and (2) fifty-five (55) (including stand-ins) effective June 10, 2010. (iii) Background actors covered by Schedule X, Part I shall be given ten (10) minutes of rest for each four (4) hour work period. B. Background Actor Zones Redefine the Las Vegas Zone to cover the area within a fifteen (15) mile radius of the Clark County Courthouse.

Background actors a. The CW (Union Proposal No. 1.A.) The parties agree that background actors employed on programs produced for The CW under Section 83 of the Television Agreement shall be treated the same as background actors employed on any other television motion pictures produced under the Television Agreement, i.e., Schedule X, Part I rates and conditions will apply to the employment of background actors in Schedule X, Part I zones; Schedule X, Part II rates and conditions will apply to the employment of background actors in Schedule X, Part II zones; elsewhere, background actors are not covered. The foregoing applies to all employees covered by Schedule X, Parts I and II.
