Backing Sample Clauses

The 'Backing' clause defines the requirements and responsibilities related to providing support or guarantees for certain obligations or assets within an agreement. Typically, this clause specifies what form the backing must take—such as a financial guarantee, insurance, or collateral—and outlines the conditions under which it must be maintained or replaced. Its core practical function is to ensure that there is a reliable source of support or security, thereby reducing risk and increasing confidence that obligations will be fulfilled.
Backing. When it becomes necessary for vessels to be backed one-half mile or more due to specific berth requirements, the applicable rate for docking or sailing will be increased by fifty (50%) percent.

If another employee is present, they shall station themselves at the rear of the vehicle to assist the driver in backing safely. Never depend completely on the rear-view mirrors.
Backing. Anchor to studs with nails or screws as required to support and back up finish carpentry, casework, flashing, fittings, fixtures, specialty items, accessories, mechanical and electrical work and items of similar nature.
Backing. This is a skill best learned from experience; perhaps in an empty parking lot with an empty trailer. Place yourself so your approach will favor your left view; campsite to the left, for example. Station someone at the rear of the unit to make sure everything is clear and help guide you. Place your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel and move it in the direction you want the trailer to go. If the trailer starts to jack-knife, stop, pull forward enough to align the units, and try again. When backing into your campsite, remember to also watch above for branches and limbs that could harm your unit. If the trailer must be left on the jack while you get the tire repaired, place a block under the axle and lower the jack to put most of the weight on the block. BLOCK THE TRAILER WHEELS BEFORE YOU UNHITCH. Remove the hub cap (if equipped), raise the unit to take some weight off the tire, then loosen the wheel bolts. Raise the tire off the ground and remove the bolts and the wheel. Place the new wheel on the hub and hand tighten the wheel bolts. Lower the unit until the tire just touches the ground. Firmly tighten the wheel bolts in the alternate 1,3,5,2,4 or 1,3,2,4 sequence. Replace the hub cap (if equipped), lower the unit, and remove the jack. Store the old tire and tools. Retighten the wheel bolts after 25, 100, and 500 miles and every 500 miles thereafter.

If these are not identified prior to the commencement of framing the supplier of material needing backing shall install or pay others to install the required backing including all demolition and rework associated.
Backing. The department recognizes that backing emergency vehicles is made hazardous by the fact that the driver cannot see much of where he/she intends to go. The department recommends that whenever possible drivers should avoid backing as the safest way to back up a vehicle is not to back up at all.
