Common use of Bargaining Representatives Clause in Contracts

Bargaining Representatives. In the event that an employee is appointed to the negotiating committee for the Union, the bargaining representative shall be granted paid leave during such time as the Union representatives meet with the City representatives for the purpose of collective bargaining. Such leave will be paid at the employee’s regular rate of pay for the position to which he is permanently appointed or serving the required probationary period thereof. Paid leave for the purpose of meeting with representatives of the City in collective bargaining shall be provided to no more than two employees appointed to the negotiating committee for the Union.
