Common use of Bargaining Unit Work Clause in Contracts

Bargaining Unit Work. (a) All storing, handling and delivering of merchandise or other goods and materials shall be carried on by the Company's employees or owner operators, members of the Union, in the categories covered in this Collective Agreement where such work is under the control of the Company. (b) No person not in the bargaining unit shall perform bargaining unit work on a regular and/or on-going basis but may assist in a temporary overload or emergency situation. A Supervisor or Manager must advise the Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or Designate on shift when this clause is invoked and provide an explanation at that time.
