Common use of Basic Skills Deficient Clause in Contracts

Basic Skills Deficient. An individual whose English Literacy reading, or Computing (math) skills are at or below a grade level of 8.9 on a generally accepted standardized test or a comparable score on a criterion-referenced test. These are the services described in WIOA §134(c)(2)(A)(xii) and provided through the one-stop (career) centers. A combination education, training, and other services that aligns with the skill needs of employers in the Lehigh Valley and prepares an individual to be successful in a range of secondary or postsecondary education options, including apprenticeships to help an individual enter or advance within a specific occupation or occupational cluster.
